sms-it error message

I have just downloaded SMS-it and am having a slight problem.

I have the correct data cables and connected my Nokia 3310 to COMM 1

I have attempted to send a Ringtone and a Text message and both show the same error message.

I get the following;

1. Message added to queue

2. Please make sure that the phone is connected to COMM 1


I press OK and it indicates 'sending'


I then get 'There is no compatible mobile phone connected to the COMM port.


Using exactly the same connection all my phone details are displayed if I run another Nokia utility called newnokiatool034.exe


I have tried using a different Nokia, a 5146 and get exactly the same error message when trying to send a simple TEXT message.


Any ideas what may be wrong :-(((
