Send SMS using VB Script and get return values

I have used the following VBS file to send sms using your software. What i wanted to do is to know whether the sms has been sent or it has failed. The code i used is :

sCommand = "Sms-it.exe SMST [SMS:7705677] 'Hello world'"

Set oSh = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
Result = oSh.Run (sCommand, WindowStyle, WaitOnReturn)

MsgBox Result

Set oSh = Nothing

'***

and what happens is even if i disconnect my phone from PC the value returned is 0. But when i check the messages its in failed folder and it says "cannot initialize com port"..

is there anyway to check whether the phone is connected?
